In today’s interview, we will speak with Dan Sciscente, a Montreal based Information Technology entrepreneur and Project Manager, who encourages young IT professionals to focus on their passions as well as their careers.
Interviews and News: Good morning and thank you for taking the time to chat with us today.
Dan Sciscente: I appreciate the opportunity. It’s not every day an IT guy gets a chance to talk about music.
It’s official. Tijuana is now a foodie destination. And while renowned chefs like Javier Placencia of Mission 19 and Miguel Angel Guerrero of El Taller have helped to put it there, the city’s food trucks and street food like birria, mariscos and wide variety of tacos deserve their fair share of the credit, too.
One of the oldest torta stands is the Tortas Wash Mobile that has been in business since 1964. Its name derived from the fact that it was originally adjacent to a car wash. Although the car wash is gone, Tortas Wash Mobile remains. The owners, the Hernandez family, were originally from Guadalajara but once they settled in Tijuana they made their mark with their beloved tortas.
Bert VanderMark: Wherever the oil pastel is your paint will not stick. Now you can have a lot of fun with that because you could draw all kinds of patterns with oil pastels.
Sarah: Hi I’m Sarah and I’m painting the silhouette of a mother’s belly. And I’m going to put a heart in each the belly and the mother’s heart and just kind of how Christ has made a way for me and my child to have the heart of Christ.
Ashley: I’m doing three crosses with hope, love, and faith. And then I’m writing out verses like “I am beautiful” “I am wonderful” and “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
Beth: Hi my name is Beth and today Bert VanderMark came and worked with us on our art. And it meant a lot to me today because I was able to really just put into a painting what the Lord has been doing in my life and how He’s been pouring His spirit out upon my life. So my painting represents Jeremiah 1 where the Lord put His Words in my mouth and anointed me to do His good work. Thank you Bert.

Doug Battista emphasizes the importance of “personal branding.” It can be applied to every facet of a person’s life, but it is especially important in an office environment, where decisions about promotions and raises are often made based on an overall snapshot of a person.
It’s difficult for many people to get to the gym, especially with the pressures of family, work and other day-to-day responsibilities. But as the media reports more and more information from health professionals about the importance of exercise for overall health and wellbeing, it begs the question: “How can a person exercise when they can’t get to the gym?” The staff at Interviewing Experts has some ideas about that time management problem, and they are here to answer questions and to suggest how simply moving can help burn calories and maintain good health.
